Our Event
Bringing Joy, Creativity, and Connection to Care Homes
Richmond Villages care homes champion longer, happier, and healthier lives. For two years before the pandemic, they welcomed Abbie to lead weekly half-day art workshops – now a cherished monthly event. These uplifting sessions immerse residents in a world of creativity, with stunning art displays, soothing music, and expert tuition. Abbie also delivers inspiring talks on her artistic journey, encouraging newcomers to discover the joy of arts and crafts for wellbeing.
Abbie’s Art with Abbie sessions bring hands-on creativity to care homes across the Cotswolds, working with clients like Taylor & Taylor, Hartford Care, and Porthaven Group. Each session ties into seasonal themes, from vibrant collages and delicate watercolour painting to clay modelling, 3D paper flowers, golden egg decorating, and sculpting tiny figures. Residents don’t just make art—they experience the joy of creation, leaving every session with a sense of accomplishment and a heartwarming small exhibition of their work.
